Double the trouble and double the comics
So Lutu #3 is going ahead but with the added bonus of Lutu #4 going ahead at the same time. I have decided that I like both stories so much that I am going to produce them in tandem.
I am in the pencil stage ready to go on one story but I still have to finish the other in the writing and page breakdown.
My aim is to do a pencil page a day and see how that turns out.
As for which story will come first and which will be second I have decided to put that aside until I have go a bit deeper in the project. So for the time being the stories will be named rather than numbered.
They are to be called Lutu Warrior of the North: Skeleton Island and Lutu Warrior of the North: The Kingdom of Prince Valen.

Lutu issue 3
Lutu issue three is now in the process of being created although at the moment there are two possible stories.
Plot line wise they can, with a little bit of adjustment, either follow or proceed the other.
Tale one is set on the high seas and partially in a sewer. Tale two, on the other hand, is set on a spooky island.
It remains to be seen which shall be first but both tales will be told in time....

Nice Review in Self Publishers Magazine
Lutu Warrior of the North Issue 2
Rating 4 out of 5 stars...
Publishers Blurb: “Lutu is a sword and sorcery comedy adventure where the heroine is not a muscle bound barbarian but a plus size cook. She is thrown into the warrior world when her twin sister, the famous warrior, goes missing at the battle of Brantiok. With the help of sword master Han and the gastronomic dragon Mo, she takes on her sister’s identity in hopes of finding her.”
Reviewer Comments: “…And now something completely different…”—(Monty Python’s Flying Circus). This quote sums up my feelings about Steve Coffin’s “LUTU, WARRIOR OF THE NORTH” issue # 2. This book is an attempt to satirize the over-used genre of the legendary ‘barbarian warrior’. When Robert E. Howard created Conan The Barbarian I don’t think he envisioned Lutu following in Conan’s footfalls. But this plus size cook in a bikini made of furs and gold rings is on a mission to find her lost warrior sister. Lutu’s companions Han the sword master, and Mo the dragon that constantly talks about eating, set out with her on the road of adventure as barbarians often do. They encounter the typical strange ugly mythical creatures and confused sorcerers. Lutu is a stranger to hand-to-hand combat but with Han’s watchful eye and Mo’s fire –breath to back Lutu up in a fight, evil cannot gain an upper hand against her. This strange trio, brought together by fate, travel from land to land in constant search for clues about Lutu’s warrior sister’s whereabouts. Lutu faces each challenge bravely by barking such heroic quips as, “I eat doom pie for breakfast”, in the face of her enemies!
“LUTU, WARRIOR OF THE NORTH” issue # 2 is a cute book that can be enjoyed by younger readers as well as older ones. The characters are fun and all of them are almost always smiling. Each page will make the reader smile and smirk over its silly antics and goofy humor. The book has a strong, ‘what will happen next?’ feel. That is a good thing. Because, although the humor is present, it isn’t as strong as it should be. Artistically the artwork serves the book well but could use a more fluid animated style with better attention to perspective. The book’s coloring is bright and fun. The idea that will probably keep readers’ attention from issue to issue is the unfolding sense of clean, fun-spirited adventure as Lutu and her gang run into more odd characters, evil nasties, and twisted plots. There are so many ‘dark’ comics with angry characters on the comics market today that Lutu feels almost out of place. It harkens back to the days of reading ‘Richie Rich’, and ‘Little Lulu’, with a dash of Sergio Argonies ‘GROO The Wanderer’ thrown in for good measure. If you are looking for a good comic book that will have you smiling long after reading it, “LUTU, WARRIOR OF THE NORTH” issue # 2 is a book you shouldn’t be missing.
